Questions

How does this work?
PaperCheck extracts arXiv IDs and paper titles from your text, then queries the official arXiv API to verify each one. Green = found, yellow = similar paper exists, red = no match (likely fabricated).
Why only arXiv?
arXiv is where 80%+ of ML, AI, physics, and CS research lives. A specialized tool beats a general one for these fields. We may add Crossref, Semantic Scholar, and PubMed later — vote in the waitlist email.
Is it free?
This web tool is free forever. The upcoming Chrome extension will have a free tier and a Pro tier (~$9/mo) for unlimited verification across multiple AI platforms.
What about non-arXiv citations?
If a citation doesn't look like an arXiv paper, we'll skip it (not mark it as fake). Future versions will check Crossref and Semantic Scholar too.
Do you store my text?
No. Your text is checked entirely in your browser; only the extracted arXiv ID or title is sent to the public arXiv API. We don't log, store, or share your text.
